About electrophysiology at Snap Diagnostics
Where imaging shows structure, electrophysiology shows function. These studies record the electrical signature of the heart, brain, muscles and peripheral nerves, and are essential in seizures, neuropathy, weakness and arrhythmia work-ups.

How to prepare
Getting these four things right means your study runs on time and does not need to be repeated.
- 1Wash hair the night before an EEG and skip oil, gel and serum.
- 2Sleep-deprived EEG requires specific instructions — please call ahead.
- 3Avoid body lotion on the limbs before EMG and NCV.
- 4Continue your regular medication unless your doctor advises otherwise.
On the day of your visit
Arrive 15 minutes early
Registration, consent and — for imaging — a safety screening questionnaire take a few minutes.
Bring your paperwork
Referral letter, previous reports and films, a photo ID, and your insurance or TPA card if you are claiming.
Tell us everything relevant
Implants, allergies, current medication, pregnancy or the possibility of it, and any anxiety about enclosed spaces.
Collect or receive your report
Routine imaging reports are released within one hour and pathology the same day — in person, or as a WhatsApp and email link to the details you register.
