Overview
About digital x-ray at Snap Diagnostics
Direct radiography captures the image straight onto a digital detector, so the film is on the radiologist screen seconds after exposure. Dose is markedly lower than film-screen systems and the image can be windowed to bring out either bone or soft tissue from a single exposure.
What we perform
How to prepare
Getting these four things right means your study runs on time and does not need to be repeated.
- 1No fasting or preparation required.
- 2Remove jewellery and metal from the region being imaged.
- 3Tell the technologist if you are or might be pregnant.
- 4Bring any previous films for comparison.
On the day of your visit
Arrive 15 minutes early
Registration, consent and — for imaging — a safety screening questionnaire take a few minutes.
Bring your paperwork
Referral letter, previous reports and films, a photo ID, and your insurance or TPA card if you are claiming.
Tell us everything relevant
Implants, allergies, current medication, pregnancy or the possibility of it, and any anxiety about enclosed spaces.
Collect or receive your report
Routine imaging reports are released within one hour and pathology the same day — in person, or as a WhatsApp and email link to the details you register.
