Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?

Walk-ins are welcome for X-ray, ECG and most pathology tests. MRI, CT, ultrasound and interventional procedures are booked to a slot, so please call ahead or use the appointment form — it keeps your waiting time to a few minutes rather than a few hours.

How quickly will I get my report?

Accepted Answer

Routine imaging reports are released within one hour, and pathology is committed same day. Emergency and trauma studies are reported immediately, and the radiologist speaks to your treating doctor directly where the findings are urgent. Histopathology and specialised cultures take longer and the timeline is given to you at the counter.

Are you open at night and on Sundays?

Yes. Imaging, pathology and emergency diagnostics run 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including public holidays. The reception and billing counter operates from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Do you accept insurance and corporate panels?

Accepted Answer

We work with major insurers and TPAs, and hold corporate and institutional tie-ups. Bring your policy card and a photo ID, and call ahead so pre-authorisation can be started before you arrive.

Question 5

Can I get my report on WhatsApp or email?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Reports are shared on WhatsApp or email to the number and address registered at the time of booking, and hard copies with films are available for collection at any time. Digital delivery only goes to the contact details you register with us.

Question 6

Is MRI safe if I have an implant?

Accepted Answer

Often, but never assume. Pacemakers, defibrillators, cochlear implants, aneurysm clips, neurostimulators, insulin pumps and retained metal fragments all need to be declared before the scan. Many modern implants are MR-conditional and can be scanned safely under specific settings — but only if we know they are there. Bring the implant card if you have one.

Do I need to fast before my test?

Contrast-enhanced MRI and CT need a four-hour fast. Abdominal ultrasound needs six hours. Most biochemistry panels — lipids, glucose, liver and kidney function — need a ten to twelve hour overnight fast. Plain X-ray, ECG, EEG and plain MRI need no fasting at all. When in doubt, call us.

Question 8

Can a family member stay with me during the scan?

For ultrasound, X-ray and most procedures, yes. For MRI, one accompanying person can usually remain in the room after metal screening — this is routine for children and for patients who are anxious or claustrophobic. Please tell us in advance so we can plan the slot.

Question 9

Do you provide home sample collection?

Accepted Answer

Yes, for pathology tests within Ranchi city limits. Call either of our numbers to schedule a phlebotomist. Imaging naturally has to be done at the centre, and our ambulance can assist with transport where mobility is a problem.
